Corsham Hockey Club proudly hosted Bannifest 2025 on a glorious, albeit hot, day, bringing together the local hockey community for a fantastic cause. The tournament aimed to raise vital funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care, and thanks to the incredible participation and generosity, over £2000 was successfully raised for the charity!
The day was filled with thrilling hockey action, camaraderie, and the chance for many to catch up with old friends and former club members. Despite the challenging warm weather, the spirit on the pitches remained high, showcasing the dedication and passion of all involved.
Team Bath Buccaneers were well-represented, entering three formidable teams: Buccaneers, Pirates, and Swashbucklers. Each team displayed excellent skill and sportsmanship throughout the day with a mix of talented young players and some older heads!.The competition was fierce, leading to some memorable matches.
In the end, it was Swashbucklers who triumphed, lifting the Trophy after a series of impressive performances. Not to be outdone, Buccaneers also had a successful run, securing the Plate.
The Cup winners were The Toogoods, a talented team composed of a mix of Team Bath Buccaneers players and their guests, who demonstrated exceptional play to claim the top prize.
A huge thank you goes out to Corsham Hockey Club for their excellent organisation, all the volunteers who helped run the event, the teams for their participation, and everyone who contributed to making Bannifest 2025 such a memorable and successful fundraising event for Dorothy House. We look forward to next year!
