With a side-trip to B&M bargains under the belt,
Relaxed and excited it was clear everyone in Annie's whip felt.
We arrived second to Rob who slept over the night before,
He may have learned from his mistakes but where was the match report?
Ofcourse we did our traditional pre-game walk around the local attractions,
We were all focussed on the game plan and there would be no distractions.
Blinding shots and heroic saves in the warm up were exciting us all,
People were prepared and everyone was looking confident on the ball.
Sadly the first quarter saw a goal sneak in by a well-worked trojans short,
'We have won this for sure', or so that is what they thought.
Thinking their game plan of aerials would leave us on our knees,
They forget we have a Rachel Jackson who plucked them out the sky with ease.
Many fell victim to the slippery pitch and fell down like sacks of .......,
But thankfully everyone remembered the proverb don't pass to hit.
With lots of chances we were looking like much more of a threat,
And soon after Sophie stepped up to the plate finding the back of the net.
We had them trapped in their half like animals in a cage,
Our brick wall of a press was causing them all sorts of rage.
With some great passages of play and several short corners given,
It seemed luck was not on our side even though we stayed driven.
The potential and opportunities in this game left us wanting more,
But in the end we had to settle with the 1.1 draw.
