Men 1st vs Teddington

TBB made it three wins on the bounce with a 2-1 home win over Teddington. 

In fairness, it was an evenly contested game which could have gone either way and which ebbed and flow in possession giving scoring opportunities for both teams.

TBB opening the scoring in the 7' when Loughrey penetrated the by line and crossed to Rawlings who sprung and reversed his shot into the net. Both sides exchanged penalty corners in the first half without success. TBB were caught on the hop on the half time whistle when Teddington countered and their cross tapped in at the back post for the equaliser.

Teddington started the second half in more determined fashion forcing good some good defending and double saves from Goalkeeper Foxall - Smith. TBB got their second goal in the 56' when Holland finished off a hard driven cross with a diving deflection at the back post. Renwick came close in the 59' but his diving deflection went narrowly wide. Teddington were reduced to 10 players in the 66' when O'Connell received a 5' yellow card for a rash challenge. Despite having numerical advantage, TBB didn't collect any reward from their added pressure and the game finished 2-1 victory.

Over all it was pleasing performance, solid in defence and well disciplined. Let's hope the winning momentum continues. There no fixture this coming Sat. Next match is at Home against Oxford Hawks, Sun 30-Oct. Start time 1300 hrs.
