The men's 6s had a start to forget as they shipped 3 goals in the first 6 minutes in their game against a strong and well organised Keynsham side.
The poor start meant a rapid change in formation to 4-4-2 was required to provide some stability and try to get back into the game. This seemed to steady the ship and Buccs started to get into the game and create chances. Newman in the the Buccs goal was in fine form and thwarted the Keynsham forwards supported by the impressive Henry Purchase at centre back. However, Keynsham did manage to score again to make it 4-0 at half time.
In the second half Buccs did not capitulate and instead took the game to the visitors and were rewarded with a penalty corner which was well converted by Marcus Bowman. Buccs created a number of half chances with Reeves and Masters coming close. Despite an improved second half performance, a penalty corner to Keynsham was converted in the last few minutes to make the final score 5-1.
