Under 12 Girls vs AJHL Mixed Festival

The U12 boys and girls had their first AJHL Festival on Sunday in what was forecasted to be a very wet day. The coaches kitted up accordingly and out came the sunshine and not a drop of rain was seen.

The morning team faced some stiff competition in their first matches of the new season however with some lovely ball passing and flowing play the team grew in confidence for every game with some great results:

TBB put on a great performance in the afternoon session at the Yate Mixed Festival. With very few of the team ever having played together before they very quickly started to look like a team unit, with a ton of energy that had them covering back and making it hard for their opponents to make any headway. In the four matches we won three (1-0, 2-0 and 1-0) and lost one (0-1) to a freak goal, with Peggy’s goalkeeping exceptional and multiple saves across the afternoon. Goals from Sienna, Noah and Imogen all played a part, with Imogen and Noah’s link play really demonstrating great use of the channels. Everyone worked tirelessly in defence and midfield to give us a huge amount of the ball and show that we have some great potential this year!
